Parents' Perspective

Three DotsThe process of qualifying for in-state tuition can be rather complex, involving aspects of financial emancipation and the like. This is exactly why we exist. We will work with your child on a weekly basis giving them specific tasks to accomplish each week, making certain all tasks are completed appropriately and on time, and using our relationships with local banks, insurance companies, and loan agencies to make sure that your student is securing the best deals on financing his or her education.

The Actual Process

Step-by-Step Step 1: Read over our website with your student
Step 2: Have them fill out the online application
Step 3: We will follow up with the student regarding your application. If approved, we will schedule an interview with the student
Step 4: If accepted past the interview phase, we all sign a contract with the student outlining each party's responsibilities as well as payments
Step 5: You and your child begin working with one of our Specialists who will guide your family through the actual process of getting in-state tuition
Step 6: Everyone goes on a family vacation or something...you just saved a ton of money.

How Long It Takes

The process itself generally takes about a year, but this varies with each student and university. Because the process is time-sensitive, it is best to get your application in sooner rather than later.

Your Specialist

Once accepted, you and your student will be paired together with a personal Specialist at the university that your student is attending. There are certain steps that we will ask you to take in order to ensure that the transition from dependent to emancipated is a smooth one. To this end, your Specialist will work with you and your son or daughter individually on needed tasks and will be available 7 days a week if you have any questions or concerns.

Your Savings

The disparity between in-state and out-of-state tuition at public universities today is egregious. What is worse is that this trend continues to grow as out-of-state tuition rises at unprecedented rates. In just the last two years, out-of-state tuition at the University of Colorado at Boulder has risen by almost 8%. Given this, our work becomes increasingly more important and the reward more fruitful: on average, after all payments are made to Tuition Specialists for our services, our clients continue to save tens of thousands of dollars throughout their college career.

No Risk Guarantee

Your son or daughter pays us nothing until they receive in-state tuition.

Family Decision

In most circumstances the in-state process requires that the student become financially emancipated from their parents. What this actually means, however, varies widely from student to student. Before you begin the actual process, we will speak with you at length about what this means.

We realize that paying for college is often a family effort. Moreover, because of the unique requirements of the in-state process, we make sure that the parents are kept in the loop. Ultimately, we seek to provide parents with as much information as possible about our program before we begin working with students so that you too may act as a liaison throughout the process.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, ideas, concerns, or curiosities.
